Responsibilities
Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company
Leads the development of core competencies in information technology project management, for deployment through a shared resource pool of trained information technology project managers
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives
Allocates project managers to information technology solution delivery initiatives in accordance with company strategies and priorities
Contributes to development of standards, processes, tools and training to support the development of core competencies in global R&D, PMO program and project management, based on industry best practices
Facilitates governance of project management execution to enhance quality and timeliness of solution delivery initiatives
Leads the Company in meeting information technology solution delivery commitments through development, implementation and governance of processes that enable global R&D, PMO program and project management
Monitors, measures and reports on effectiveness and results of project management team
Oversees and directs the activities of portfolio management as they relate to cost, resources, timeline and schedule of investments, expected nature, magnitude and timing of benefits to be realized, and relationship interdependencies with other projects in the portfolio
Conducts project portfolio modeling and analysis for portfolio level planning and reporting
Conducts scenario planning and analysis to justify the selection and identify relative risks involved
Conducts portfolio level planning and reporting
Manages portfolio level risk for global R&D, PMO projects
Maintains the project flows supporting the portfolio management function
Ensures stakeholder engagement and responsibility are assigned to secure project benefits
Supports Project Managers and Program Managers through the project approval lifecycle
Ensures that time keeping and management is consistently executed across the portfolio
Tracks and reports project metrics for all projects throughout the organization and maintains centralized accountability for management of project portfolio
Works with senior management to provide strategic and tactical advice on program/project planning and execution
Supports Portfolio communication, program/project control/analysis/reporting, process development and tool development
Develops, manages and deploys trained project managers from a shared resource pool to manage information technology solution delivery projects or programs
Mentors, coaches and provides training to project managers to increase their competencies in key knowledge areas of project management, including project integration, scope, time management and management of costs, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement
Provides expertise, input or feedback to assist in the development of program and project management methodologies, standards, tools and training
Challenges and inspires team members to achieve business results
Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews
Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated agility in dealing with ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced, highly visible, and changing environment
Able to organize and deploy work across people
Excellent coach and role model of Starbucks & Princi culture and values
Demonstrates strong abilities as a team player and leader
Ability to build strong relationships and engage across differing cultures and societies
Demonstrated food service and production experience (2-3 years)
Culinary Supervision (2 years)
Current local health and safety certifications
