Responsibilities

The Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician will be responsible for office and field support of LDAR projects including Method 21 and Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) surveys
The technician inspects the facility for any gas leaks and finds any suspicious areas
The technician uses special gas analyzers or optical gas imaging cameras to identify where gas may be leaking into the atmosphere
The LDAR Monitoring Technician is responsible for monitoring components on an assigned route within an industrial facility
By doing so, they can ensure that the equipment and systems are working properly, and that safety is maintained
This individual is also responsible for maintaining records of all events that occur within the industrial facility
The LDAR Technician is responsible for conducting air monitoring and emissions measurement activities, performing equipment calibrations and maintenance, and collecting and organizing field data for air quality compliance and emissions assessment program
This individual is also responsible for ensuring that assessments are conducted in a timely manner to ensure compliance with environmental regulations

Required

Must have a high school diploma, general education development (GED), or equivalent (military service and/or technical degrees preferred) but not required
Demonstration of high integrity and work ethics
Must pass a rigorous background check and drug test
Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Must be able to work alone, lift up to 40 lbs., work in adverse weather both hot and cold, able to climb, and work at heights up to 300 feet
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus possible overtime
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent analytical and communication skills and teamwork abilities
Someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working in the great outdoors
Must be task-oriented with the ability to maintain tight schedules

Preferred

2-4 years field experience regarding technical, industrial, and/or oil and gas services (preferred) but not required
Able to read and understanding Piping and Instrument Diagram's (P&ID's) (preferred) but not required
