Assist the Principal Investigator in the Department of Medicine-Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals

Present at conferences

Support teaching initiatives

Contribute to the mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students

Ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University

Required

Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and Research methodologies

Strong foundation in Molecular Biology, Animal Handling, and Data Analysis

Experience in Teaching and mentoring students

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills

A Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Immunology, or a related field

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment

Commitment to academic excellence and advancing knowledge in the field

Preferred

Experience in immunology, brain, or CVD research

Recent Ph.D. degree
