Responsibilities
Perform and review general ledger and chart of accounts reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
Manage accounts receivable processes, including collections, aging reports, and customer communication on outstanding balances
Accurately invoice customers, manage billing schedules, and handle contract terms and change orders
Set up new customers in client portals, ensuring all compliance documents (banking info, etc.) are properly completed
Track and manage certificates of insurance (COIs), coordinating with insurance providers to ensure compliance
Support accounts payable processes, including timely vendor payments and accurate expense classifications
Maintain cash flow forecasting tools to support operational decision-making and ensure liquidity
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting systems
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Experience in project forecasting and cost tracking
Solid knowledge of Texas tax rules, including sales and income tax for multiple business structures
Proven experience in job costing and project accounting
Experience with vendor portal compliance
Ability to manage both strategic and hands-on accounting work
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
