Billing Specialist

Responsibilities
Review and analyze billing exceptions and make corrections in the customer billing system
Initiate and process service orders accurately and efficiently
Investigate tamper codes and identify appropriate resolutions
Resolve customer inquiries including bill adjustments, sales tax exemptions, rate changes, and follow-up items
Communicate findings and solutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders
Support billing accuracy and compliance within operational processes
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
Demonstrated billing experience, preferably in a utility or related industry
Proficient with Banner CIS, SAP, or similar billing systems
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in billing processes
Familiarity with utility operations and service order management
