Responsibilities

Manage and mentor data engineers and related technical staff
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Drive architecture and implementation of the data warehouse
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams to align data capabilities with business objectives
Oversee new and emerging external initiatives (e.g., HIE integrations, external data feeds) until standardized processes are established
Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security protocols
Act as a co-leader with senior engineering leadership on process improvement and implementation across technology teams
Engage with stakeholders across Product, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure alignment on technical priorities
Represent Systems Engineering in strategic planning discussions

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years in technical leadership roles, with experience in systems engineering or data architecture
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex technical projects
Strong understanding of data warehouse design, ETL processes, and cloud-based architectures
Strong SQL skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience with Snowflake, AWS data tools (e.g., DMS)
Experience in healthcare technology or interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
Familiarity with HIE implementations and external data integrations
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HI TRUST)
