HR Business Partner

Pearson is a leading provider of online education solutions for K–12 students and is seeking an HR Business Partner to support virtual schools across the U.S. This role involves providing strategic HR guidance, building relationships with school leaders, and managing employee relations and workforce planning initiatives.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with school leaders to anticipate and support HR needs
Collaborate with HR teams to develop and implement initiatives aligned with company goals
Analyze data to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements
Partner with training teams to assess and deploy development programs
Advise managers and staff on conflict resolution, communication, and performance issues
Coordinate with legal counsel and school boards on employment-related matters
Monitor turnover and satisfaction metrics, and implement retention strategies
Manage performance assessment programs and disciplinary procedures
Support leadership development through data-driven action plans
Provide regular feedback and coaching to school leaders
Drive succession planning and talent development initiatives
Assist with staffing and promotion strategies during budget cycles
Create job descriptions and manage position changes
Participate in recruitment efforts, including interviews and candidate evaluations
Ensure effective HR communications across teams

Required

1–2 years of HR experience in the above areas
Degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field
