Responsibilities
Help lead and manage day-to-day hotel operations at properties experiencing transitions, turnover, or performance challenges
Ensure the hotel is operating efficiently and profitably during the task force assignment period
Provide hands-on leadership to department heads and staff, ensuring high operational standards and seamless guest experiences
Work closely with the hotel’s management team to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, addressing both short-term needs and long-term strategies for improvement
Analyze hotel performance metrics, including guest satisfaction, occupancy, revenue, and cost control, to identify areas of opportunity
Implement strategies to improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and maximize profitability during your assignment
Collaborate with the corporate team to develop and execute action plans for underperforming hotels, setting clear goals and timelines
Ensure that all departments are consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience in line with the company’s service standards
Address guest concerns and issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining positive guest relations
Perform regular walk-throughs and inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards and policies
Work closely with the Corporate Operations team, General Managers, and other key stakeholders to communicate hotel performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Provide comprehensive reports on operational improvements, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and staffing updates during the assignment
Assist in developing strategies and initiatives to enhance the long-term operational success of the hotel
Lead or support the implementation of special projects, renovations, or rebrandings at assigned hotels
Collaborate on new hotel openings or transitions, ensuring seamless integration into the brand’s operations
Evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives and make adjustments as necessary to ensure objectives are met
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or operations, including experience in a multi-unit or corporate task force role
Proven experience in managing full-service hotel operations, including guest service, food and beverage, housekeeping, and revenue management
Strong background in turning around underperforming properties and managing high-pressure situations
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and developing hotel staff
In-depth understanding of hotel operations, financial performance metrics, and revenue management
Ability to assess and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently, with a results-oriented approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement tactical solutions
Flexibility and adaptability to travel to various properties and work in diverse environments
Preferred
Additional certifications or training in hospitality management, leadership, or specific hotel operations areas is a plus
