Payroll and Benefits Manager
Yardmaster, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Manager to lead payroll processing and benefits administration. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate payroll delivery and comprehensive benefits management while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end payroll management using systems such as Alliance, Saavi, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee payments
Manage benefits administration processes, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks, utilizing HRIS platforms like PeopleSoft or Kronos
Reconcile payroll data with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Ceridian to ensure consistency across financial records
Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the finance team to prepare reports on payroll expenses, benefits costs, and tax filings related to payroll activities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by managing tax withholding processes and preparing necessary reports
Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly
Support audits by providing detailed documentation of payroll transactions and benefits administration activities
Stay current on industry best practices related to payroll management, benefits administration, and relevant legal requirements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro
Strong knowledge of payroll management principles combined with expertise in accounting software like QuickBooks or Ceridian
Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as PeopleSoft or Kronos for benefits administration and employee data management
Solid understanding of financial concepts including general ledger accounting, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation
Experience working with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations related to payroll processing
Excellent analysis skills for identifying discrepancies and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems
Proficiency in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate records
Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred
Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is a plus; familiarity with accounts payable/receivable is beneficial
