Boiler Maintenance Program Manager

Venergy Group LLC is seeking a Boiler Maintenance Program Manager to oversee operations within the boiler division. This role involves project management, team supervision, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while enhancing client relations and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Boiler Division Manager and the Combustion Controls Division Manager on all operations within the boiler division, including project management, team supervision, and client relations
Ensure that all boiler-related projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and client specifications
Delegate emergency calls and prioritize maintenance concerns to the Boiler Maintenance Program Manager who will be responsible for addressing and communicating with the customer all related maintenance concerns to enhance business development and outreach within the division
Assist in the direction and supervision of the work of boiler operators, mechanics, and other assigned personnel, including training in handling chemicals, boiler operation, controls/equipment repair and safety
Provides training and development opportunities with guidance from the Boiler Division Manager
Manages installation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers
Orders necessary supplies of fuel and purchase equipment and parts as needed
Maintains machinery records; fuel and emissions management; EPA logs, chemical consumption, state boiler inspections, etc
Directs preventive maintenance program for heating/hot water systems
Prepares specifications, review bids, and supervise contractors
Prepares and manages operating budget for heating plant
Cooperates and works with State and insurance inspectors
Respond to emergency calls as needed which may require travel at a moment's notice
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Extensive knowledge of boiler systems, including design, installation, maintenance, and repair
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the boiler industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Active Driver License
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Travel to project sites and client meetings is required
Be able to travel via airfare or ground transportation

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
10+ years of experience in the boiler industry
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale boiler projects over $1 million
Knowledge of high-pressure vessel operations and testing requirements
Knowledge of VA's Boiler System operations
