Sales Director - IVD

The Sales Director will lead commercial growth across the West Coast of North America for a portfolio of digital diagnostic solutions, managing the full sales cycle and expanding adoption in the healthcare ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Drive new business and revenue growth: Achieve and exceed annual targets for the company’s digital imaging and AI-powered diagnostic portfolio across hospital, university, and private laboratories
Strategic account management: Build and maintain multi-level relationships with C-suite executives, laboratory directors, procurement teams, and KOLs to expand adoption
Full-cycle selling: Lead prospecting, evaluations, demos, ROI analysis, pricing, tender responses, negotiations, and deal closures
Market development: Identify regional trends, unmet needs, and competitive dynamics to shape go-to-market strategy and commercial positioning
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, clinical affairs, and service teams to deliver strong value propositions and customer success
Forecasting and CRM: Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and performance reporting using Salesforce (or similar CRM)
Industry presence: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client workshops; host reference visits to demonstrate clinical and operational impact
Qualification
Required
8+ years of sales experience in IVD or medical device capital equipment/consumables, with a proven track record of success in North America
Demonstrated success selling diagnostic instrumentation (e.g. haematology, digital pathology, microscopy, or imaging systems) with deal values typically exceeding €500k
Strong network within key hospital groups, university clinics, and private lab chains in North America
Excellent business acumen, consultative selling skills, and ability to engage both scientific and financial decision-makers
Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven sales management
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or Business Administration
Willingness to travel ~30%
