Responsibilities

Scale and optimize Postgres databases, including backups, replication, and high availability
Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems
Build automation for deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and routine operations
Ensure high performance and reliability under heavy load
Work with cloud infrastructure and bare-metal compute as needed
Collaborate with a lean team of talented engineers to ship quickly
Measure, optimize, and iterate based on production metrics and system performance

Required

5+ years in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
Strong experience scaling Postgres databases in production, including backups, replication, and high availability
Experience self-hosting applications and services with Docker
Deep knowledge of Linux systems, networking, performance tuning, and cloud infrastructure
Clear, proactive communication in a remote environment
Product mindset and ownership--you care about outcomes, not just tasks

Preferred

Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, etc.)
Experience with observability tools (Signoz, etc.)
Background in building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
