The City of New York is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Certified IT Administrator (LAN/WAN) IV for the New York City Police Department's Information Technology Services Division. This role involves supporting the department by ensuring seamless integration between various IT environments and applications, while also collaborating with the Information Security Division to enhance the department's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Manage Azure Active Directory tenants including 2 in Azure government cloud
Provide technical leadership and guidance in the areas of Identity and Access to 60+ NYC agencies
Work closely with NYC Cyber Command to establish policies that improve the security posture of services provided
Designing and deployment of Centrify Server Suit to provide MFA and privilege elevation access to Windows and Linux servers
Collaborate with service sponsor NYC Cyber Command IAM team to design and build platform infrastructure and test platform features
Lead engineer in the rollout of various Azure AD services such as MFA, Privilege Identity Management, Identity Management, Identity Protection, SSPR and more
Transition SSO services from legacy IdP platform to Azure AD
Establish various policies and workflows to streamline access to numerous services and tools

Required

Professional/vendor certification(s) in local area network administration that is required for the position to be filled
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) experience in local area network and/or wide area network planning, design, configuration, installation, implementation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) information technology experience of which at least 2 years must have been as described in '1'
A satisfactory equivalent of education and/or experience equivalent to '1' or '2' above
Education may be substituted for experience on the basis that 30 undergraduate semester credits from an accredited college is equivalent to 6 months of experience
A master's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college may be substituted for one year of experience
All candidates must have at least one year of satisfactory (not classroom based) full-time information technology experience as described in '1' above
Incumbents may be required to update existing and/or obtain additional professional industry-standard certification(s) for current and future technical environments(s) in which they may be assigned to work, as determined by the employing agency

Implementing and managing all Azure services, Privilege Identity Management, Identify Protection and more
Strong working knowledge and experience managing Windows
Strong working knowledge of installation, configuration of Windows Server 2019/2022
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
