Start in 2025 SummerDC Water provides essential water, wastewater, and stormwater services to residents and visitors in the District of Columbia. The Summer Intern in Electrical Maintenance Services will gain exposure to electrical systems and equipment, assisting with report generation, field surveys, and troubleshooting under supervision.

Assist with CMMS report generation and field surveys of electrical equipment
Shadow technicians in troubleshooting and repairs
Collect power flow data and assist with equipment inspections
Qualification
Required
Engineering background, preferably in electrical engineering
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
Basic electrical power knowledge
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hot temperatures, noise, and vibrations
Preferred
Self-motivated individual with a keen interest in electrical systems
Knowledge of industrial control systems and electrical schematics
