Responsibilities
Assist with planning and organizing community outreach events and activities
Attend and represent the organization at summer outreach events
Support the development of engagement strategies and initiatives
Assist with community outreach documentation, including reports and feedback gathering
Help build relationships with local groups, stakeholders, and participants in community events
Qualification
Required
Experience in community engagement, communications, or similar disciplines
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
Strong multi-tasking abilities
Project management and organizational development skills
Ability to work in teams and take initiative
Ability to build positive rapport with community members and stakeholders
Networking capabilities and relationship-building skills
English
Ability to work hard and handle physically demanding tasks
Willingness to work during evenings and after-hours
Ability to lift items when necessary
Preferred
Prior experience in community engagement or communications roles
Some project management experience is beneficial
Preferred Majors: Community Engagement, Communications, Public Relations, or similar disciplines
Advanced project management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Strong teamwork, leadership, and collaboration abilities
Self-starter with a creative and out-of-the-box thinking approach
