Technical Engagement Manager
data² is pioneering explainable AI for organizations where trust in algorithms is critical. As a Technical Engagement Manager, you will oversee the deployment lifecycle for customers, ensuring successful implementations and fostering strong relationships with technical teams and decision-makers.

Responsibilities
Architect and deploy data2’s patented reView platform in complex customer environments
Design graph-based reasoning workflows that integrations with customer data ecosystems
Wrangle enterprise data sources (structured, unstructured, real-time streams) into functional ingestion pipelines
Configure explainability features for use-case and compliance requirements
Deploy in cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments, whatever the mission requires
Debug ingestion and integration issues at 2am when a critical system goes live (it happens)
Run multiple complex deployments simultaneously without dropping balls
Build deployment programs that actually align scope, budget, and timeline (novel concept, we know)
Facilitate requirements sessions where customers don't always know what they need
Create scalable onboarding processes, not one-off heroics
Manage project resources (internal team + customer stakeholders)
Document everything so the next deployment is easier than the last
Train customers to be self-sufficient power users, not perpetually dependent
Become the go-to expert customers call when they have a problem
Understand their mission well enough to propose solutions they haven't thought of
Set realistic expectations (then exceed them)
Identify expansion opportunities that genuinely help customers, not just upsell
Navigate procurement, security compliance, and bureaucratic obstacles
Collaborate with Engineering on product feedback from the field
Work with Sales on scoping realistic deployments
Partner with the Head of Delivery Services and the Head of Success & Support to build scalable processes
Contribute to thought leadership (documentation, case studies, methodology development)
Qualification
Required
5+ years deploying complex technical solutions for Enterprise or Government customers
Real project management experience (not just attending standups)
Track record of successful AI/ML, graph database, or enterprise data platform deployments
You can hold your own in conversations with data engineers and solution architects
Data architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and integration patterns are in your wheelhouse
You've configured enterprise software, not just managed someone else doing it
You can explain graph reasoning to a Colonel and data pipelines to a CIO
Your documentation is clear enough that someone could follow it at 3am
You respond to customer questions in hours, not days
Self-starter who doesn't need handholding
Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change
You see problems as puzzles, not blockers
Travel 25-30% (CONUS/OCONUS) doesn't phase you
Preferred
You've deployed solutions for DOD, Intelligence Community, or federal agencies
You understand FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, SOC 2 (not just buzzwords to you)
You know why air-gapped environments exist and how to work in them
Active TS/SCI Clearance (or ability to obtain) – We have customers who require it
Deploying AI where there's no internet is a different beast
Defense & Intelligence: All-source intelligence ops, cyber threat analysis, secure supply chains
Energy & Critical Infrastructure: Asset management, operational intelligence, infrastructure monitoring
Financial Services: Forensic accounting, risk assessment, regulatory compliance
Neo4j, Memgraph, DataRobot, Palantir, or similar platforms
Hands-on with Python, SQL, Linux/Unix administration
PMP, CSM, CISSP, or equivalent certifications
Published writing, conference talks, or recognized expertise in enterprise AI
