Accountant III
Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an Accountant III who handles complex accounting assignments and leads the general ledger and revenue process. The role involves monthly financial reporting, budget processes, and collaboration with various departments and executives.

Responsibilities
Develop, communicate and execute general ledger accounting processes. Responsibilities will include the maintenance and ongoing support of subsidiary work
Work collaboratively with staff from different departments, including revenue cycle, IT, and decision support
Collaborate with executive team as needed
Track and manage monthly reconciliation of revenue and charges
Help facilitate month and year end close, including account reconciliations, monthly and period end closing, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and year-end audit schedules
Plan, coordinate, and execute an annual budget development and lead forecasting process. Actively track key metrics for special projects
Accounting research as needed for new or more complex accounting transactions
Interacts with external auditors on a routine basis

Qualification
Required
Ability to function proactively and independently at a high level in a technical and demanding environment
Must possess excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, and be able to communicate proactively and effectively with all levels of management
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in MS Office [Advanced Excel, Word] or similar software is required
Ability to proficiently use an ERP computerized system
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
5 years accounting including financial reporting experience (either internal or public account) is required
Preferred
Master's degree is preferred
CPA is preferred
Experience in healthcare is preferred
