Structural Project Manager/Engineer III

They are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager/Engineer to lead projects involving forensic investigation, repair, and rehabilitation design for existing structures while ensuring high-quality deliverables and managing project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

Conduct forensic investigations and repair design for existing structures
Lead the setup and execution of multiple concurrent projects, assigning appropriate staff and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Perform and oversee field and lab testing methods such as GPR, anchor pull testing, bond testing, sounding, and half-cell corrosion potential
Guide sample collection (concrete, masonry, steel, wood) and ensure adherence to proper techniques and standards
Interpret federal, state, and local building codes and apply them effectively to project findings and recommendations
Prepare technical reports and proposals with minimal oversight; present findings to clients in meetings or calls
Coordinate with field staff to direct work activities, including structural assessments, testing, design, and construction administration
Review calculations, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation for accuracy and compliance
Manage project budgets, timelines, invoicing, and track potential changes to scope
Mentor junior staff and support their development through coaching and oversight
Foster a safety-first culture by promoting the proper use of PPE and safe work practices on all job sites

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (from a NAAB-accredited program), Engineering, Building Science, or a related field (ABET-accredited)
2+ years of relevant repair/forensic experience with PE license or 4+ years of relevant repair/forensic experience without a license
Strong technical background
Experience managing complex projects
Ability to conduct forensic investigations and repair design for existing structures
Experience leading the setup and execution of multiple concurrent projects
