Intern - Mechanical Engineering
Pinnova is a company focused on helping customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life, and they are seeking an Intern in Mechanical Engineering. The role involves modeling drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, and engaging in small design projects while gaining exposure to the business structure of the company.
Responsibilities
This may include both mechanical or electrical HW and activities may include: modeling various aspects of drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects
Areas of work may be control systems, motor electromagnetics, and digital/analog electronics, product design and development
You will have the opportunity to be a significant contributor, while getting comprehensive exposure to the business structure of the company and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life
Additionally, as a student associate there will be hosted activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills and immerse yourself in our company culture
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Must be enrolled for at least one semester after the internship concludes
Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
Experience with CAD modeling and 3-D printing
Interest and experience with simulation
Basic computer programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript)
Previous experience with Industrial Automation products
Experience using Agile methodology
