Director, Portfolio Company Talent Acquisition
East 57th Street Partners is a private equity firm focused on investing in and scaling businesses across various sectors. The Director, Portfolio Company Talent Acquisition will lead executive and senior leadership hiring across the firm's portfolio companies, ensuring they have the right leadership to execute growth initiatives and integrate acquisitions.
Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle executive search efforts for C-suite, finance, operations, commercial, and field leadership roles across portfolio companies
Support leadership hiring tied to add-on acquisitions and new platform investments, including pre-close planning and post-close integration
Partner closely with Operating Partners and portfolio leadership teams to understand business priorities, growth initiatives, and leadership requirements
Proactively source, assess, and engage executive talent using a network-driven and data-informed approach
Build and maintain leadership pipelines to support rapid scaling, succession planning, and acquisition integration
Lead the search, evaluation, and hiring of a Director of HR to run the firm’s centralized HR Shared Services Center
Partner with the Interim CHRO to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities and continuity of service across the portfolio
Collaborate with firm leadership to define the scope, structure, and success metrics of the HR Shared Services model
Ensure alignment between executive hiring strategy and broader HR infrastructure, governance, and people operations
Align organizational design and leadership capability with portfolio company value-creation plans
Manage and optimize relationships with external executive search firms when engaged
Maintain standardized recruiting processes, reporting, scorecards, and search status updates for firm leadership
Support onboarding and early integration of newly hired executives to accelerate performance and alignment
Advise portfolio leadership on compensation benchmarking, leadership assessment, and hiring best practices
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in executive search, senior leadership recruiting, or talent advisory roles
Experience recruiting within private equity–backed, multi-site, or growth-oriented environments
Strong preference for experience in HVAC, construction, facilities, landscaping, or other field-based service industries
Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives, operating partners, and investors
Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to align talent strategy to operational execution
Experience conducting competency-based interviews and executive-level leadership assessments
Bachelor's degree required
