They are seeking a Director of Business Development – Special Assets to originate portfolio purchase opportunities that align with their acquisition mandate, focusing on relationship-driven sourcing of institutional-grade portfolios.

Responsibilities
Originate charged-off or deeply non-performing Class 8 commercial truck debt portfolios
Leverage existing relationships with: Banks, Captive finance companies, Specialty lenders, Servicers and Special Assets/Workout and Bankruptcy groups
Maintain ongoing dialogue with credit and portfolio management teams
Pre-screen opportunities for mandate fit (lien position, collateral, vintage, geography)
Coordinate initial portfolio discussions and data access
Support transactions through diligence and execution
Represent ProFleet Capital with professionalism, discretion, and credibility
Qualification
Required
10+ experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, or special assets
A deep, existing network within Class 8 / commercial truck finance
Familiarity with charged-off and non-performing secured portfolios
Strong understanding of first-lien structures, collateral, and documentation
Ability to originate opportunities without reliance on cold outreach
High judgment, discretion, and institutional credibility
