Responsibilities

Conducts daily forklift checklist
Changes forklift battery
Follows safety procedures during forklift operation
Employee is responsible for following (and/or implementing/supporting/maintaining) Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Defense, Food Safety and SQF programs
Keep all production areas supplied with raw materials and packaging supplies
Put away, in their proper place, all items not being used for production
Receive all items being delivered to production, store them neatly in their respective places in accordance with the plan layout, return empty skids to suppliers when necessary and maintain the pallet log return
Enter, in production receiving log, all items received and give all bills of lading, etc. to the Administrative Assistant
Maintain the forklift daily as follows:
Check water in battery and fill up if needed
Keep forklift on charge, when not in use
Report any mechanical problems to your supervisor
Keep the receiving doors closed when not in use
Take a weekly inventory of certain items, as required by the Production Supervisor and assist in taking the monthly inventories
Operate the forklift in a safe manner and report all structural building damage of accident to your supervisor immediately
Maintain the schedule delivery log for outside suppliers
Communicate and interface with your supervisor, packing room and retail leaders and other forklift drivers
Perform any other duties assigned to you by your supervisor
Keep warehouse clean and orderly at all times
