The role involves setting up and operating mechanical test stands, collecting and analyzing test data, and preparing technical reports to support engineering and management in evaluating product performance.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate mechanical test stands and equipment including:
Fatigue Test machines utilizing servo hydraulics
Inertia Dynamometers
Environmental chambers and pressure devices
Prototype builds on trailers
Conduct mechanical testing to evaluate performance characteristics such as:
Proof Load
Hardness
Yield Point
Spring Rate
Configure test controllers
Record, analyze, and interpret test data
Prepare technical reports, Graphs and charts to communicate findings to engineering and management team
Eager to develop expertise in a range of data acquisition tools to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity
Perform Routine preventative maintenance on equipment
Keeping a clean and well-organized work area
Support root cause analysis and failure investigations with hands-on teardown and inspection
Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Perform other duties as assigned to support lab operations
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology / Mechanical Engineering or a comparable discipline is required
1 Year experience preferred
Ideal candidates will be experienced with trailer or automotive repair/maintenance and have strong mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude
Microsoft software knowledge is required
Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and electronically
Must be a team player, innovative, self-motivated, and punctual
