Responsibilities
Provides direct and indirect patient care services, including the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care
Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the hospital system
Displays knowledge and is able to identify and make special adjustments to the specific populations needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family and condition needs
Respond quickly, and with accuracy to changes in condition or response to treatment
Qualification
Required
Graduate of accredited nursing program
Valid California Registered Nurse License
BLS required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
LA County Fire Card
Approved assaultive behavior training
1 year RN experience in acute patient care: Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Emergency Department or Peri-op unit experience, or Completion of Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital RN New Grad nurse residency program required
Preferred
BSN strongly preferred
TNCC preferred
Some critical care experience preferred
Experience with Shared Governance and or Magnet committees a plus
Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues
