Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for HR issues, ensuring all employment decisions are policy-compliant and legally grounded
Manage job postings, review applicant data, coordinate background screenings, and facilitate regular new employee orientations
Oversee annual open enrollment, process benefit applications, and manage FMLA or other leave of absence requests
Administer and report workers' compensation and unemployment claims while serving as a liaison with insurance providers and state agencies
Maintain precise personnel files and HRIS data in strict accordance with state and federal regulations
Execute all changes regarding employee status, compensation, and work assignments
Qualification
Required
At least two years of experience in Human Resources, Personnel, or Public Administration
Solid understanding of basic HR practices and legal regulations, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Civil Rights Act
Strong proficiency in Windows-based software applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS)
Exceptional organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Commitment to maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding employee information
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
