Responsibilities
Collaborate with business units to understand operational procedures, data requirements, and reporting needs
Document user requirements, workflows, and system specifications for new or modified applications
Perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis for proposed solutions
Assist in developing scripts and prototypes to automate processes and integrate AI-driven features
Review system capabilities and constraints to ensure alignment with TxDOT standards
Support testing and validation of new solutions in a rapid development environment
Qualification
Required
1-3 Years - Collaborate with business units to understand operational procedures, data requirements, and reporting needs
1-3 Years - Document user requirements, workflows, and system specifications for new or modified applications
1-3 Years - Perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis for proposed solutions
1-3 Years - Assist in developing scripts and prototypes to automate processes and integrate AI-driven features
1-3 Years - Review system capabilities and constraints to ensure alignment with TxDOT standards
1-3 Years - Support testing and validation of new solutions in a rapid development environment
Preferred
Education: Graduates with a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence
AI/ML Fundamentals: Understanding of AI concepts and ability to apply pre-built models or APIs
Programming: Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks
Scripting: Experience with Bash for system-level automation and deployment
Rapid Development: Familiarity with agile methodologies and quick prototyping tools
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze business problems and propose technology-driven solutions
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for documenting requirements and collaborating with stakeholders
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker)
Knowledge of data integration and API development
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
