Atlantic Group is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant (Tax Manager) to join their growing team in Atlantic County, NJ (Hybrid). In this role, you’ll prepare and review complex tax filings, advise clients on planning and compliance, and oversee a range of tax engagements.

Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Client Advisory: Provide year-round tax planning and compliance guidance to clients across various entities
Staff Oversight: Mentor and review the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and development
Issue Resolution: Support audit responses and resolve tax issues with IRS and state agencies
Software & Analysis: Utilize QuickBooks, UltraTax, and Excel to complete filings and analyze financial data

Qualification

Active CPAEA licenseTax law knowledgeQuickBooks proficiencyUltraTax experienceExcel proficiencyCommunication skillsProblem-solving skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
Active CPA or EA license is required
5+ years of public accounting or tax experience, including work with corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
Solid understanding of tax law, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements for multi-entity structures
Highly organized and detail-focused, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines independently

Preferred

Experience in UltraTax software preferred
