Director, Public Sector Services Sales (Google Solutions)

Insight is seeking an experienced, high-impact leader to direct their Services Sales Teams with a focus on the Google Solution Line within the Public Sector. This role is responsible for owning and accelerating the growth of the Public Sector services business for Google Cloud, managing high-performance sales teams, and collaborating closely with Insight field leadership and Google account teams.

Responsibilities

Own the Business: Accountable for the Public Sector services business for Google Cloud, including monthly service revenue forecasts, gross profit, and overall sales budgets for the geographical area
Business Planning: Create and implement strong quarterly business plans to drive predictable growth motions and scalable pipeline engines
Partner Alignment: Work closely with and establish business relationships with Google and other OEMs to obtain rep-to-rep leads and market intelligence. Strengthen partner alignment within the Public Sector GTM strategy
Market Expansion: Accelerate the growth of the Public Sector services business across Federal, State & Local, and Education markets
Build & Coach: Hire, build, and motivate solution sales personnel. Guide a high-performance team of sellers to achieve sales targets and drive recognition within Area branch offices
Performance Management: Hold reviews for all Area Teammates, monitor expenses, and audit overall area operations
Mentorship: Travel with and assist sales reps on high-profile accounts. Coach on professionalism, selling competency, and building client trust
Sales Execution: Team with peers to actively pursue new business, follow up on closures, and manage appropriate resources
Proposals & Marketing: Provide input to the Field Marketing team on major proposals and presentations
Operational Excellence: Manage all aspects of the given territory to assure quality and attainment of set objectives. Participate aggressively in the management and creation of Field Services

Required

BS/BA degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the computer industry, specifically calling on large corporate or public sector accounts
Deep experience in Public Sector cloud services
Proven understanding of complex public sector procurement cycles
Demonstrated ability to build scalable pipeline engines through partner collaboration
History of leading high-performance sales teams
Superior communication skills with the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and boards of directors
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, business journals, and financial reports
Strong reputation for personal and professional integrity

Preferred

7+ years of management experience in a channel sales environment
