X-FAB is a company looking for a Facilities Equipment Operator/Mechanic to perform maintenance, construction, installation, repair, or retrofitting of facilities and systems. The role requires multi-skilled individuals who can work in a team environment and involves operating utility systems, maintaining HVAC systems, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate all utility systems within allowable tolerances and in compliance with applicable federal, state and local codes, statues and regulations

Complete operating logs, reports and records as required by these agencies as well as the company

Inspect and maintain all utility systems and equipment in the plant

Maintain and repair of all HVAC systems and components

Inspect, install, relocate, modify, maintain and repair other equipment and systems as necessary, coordinating with other departments

Test electrical systems and backup utilities

Implement and maintain energy management and conservation programs

Calibrate critical components and insure that all equipment is kept in good repair

Required

High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent experience with trade certification

Must have working knowledge and experience of basic electrical systems

Must have working knowledge and experience of basic mechanical & plumbing systems

Must have working knowledge and experience of basic pneumatic systems and pneumatic controls

Ability to solve problems, develop solutions & make decisions in a team environment

Good problem solving & decision making skills

Good computer skills, with a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel & Word; Access a plus

Good verbal & written communication skills

Proven individual contributor, team worker & self-starter

Flexibility--work schedules may vary between regular, day & night shifts

Preferred

Professional certification is preferred, but not required
