Assistant/Associate Professor - Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering and Cyber-Physical Systems- 28327

West Virginia University (WVU) is inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of computer or electrical engineering with a focus on cyber-physical systems. The successful candidate will develop a research program, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teach at various levels, and engage in professional service activities.

Develop and sustain an independent, internationally recognized and competitive externally-sponsored research program
Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams of faculty and other researchers across WVU campus, other academic and government institutions, as well as the private sector
Teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
Perform professional service activities within and outside the university

Required

Earned Doctorate degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a closely related field, at the time of appointment
Demonstrate the ability or potential to develop and sustain an independent, internationally recognized and competitive externally-sponsored research program
Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams of faculty and other researchers across WVU campus, other academic and government institutions, as well as the private sector
Teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
Perform professional service activities within and outside the university
Notable record of peer-reviewed publications and other scholarly activities
Effective communication skills
Evidence of potential to attract competitive research funding
