Regional Manager, Warehouse Operations - Americas

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations across warehouse sites, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and truck loading
Drive consistency and scalability by implementing standardized procedures across all locations
Oversee warehouse MRO procurement, forklift maintenance, consumables spend, and facility upgrades (racking, doors, security, etc.)
Coordinate with Logistics groups and other departments (Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Procurement, HR) to facilitate efficient warehouse operations
Familiar with managing large bulk rolled items including storage, picking, and loading. Rolls (geosynthetics) can be up to 18 feet long, 30+ inches in diameter, and weigh over 4000 lbs
Ensure data integrity around product loadability tables (rolls per TL, rolls per tier, # of rows, etc) to ensure efficient trailer cube utilization and accurate calculation of TL requirements during order quoting phase
Reduce aged and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and collaboration
Implement robust cycle count programs and reconciliation processes to improve inventory integrity
Maximize material flow and space utilization to support manufacturing and fulfillment efficiency
Leverage WMS and ERP systems for bin consolidation, FIFO compliance, pick route optimization, and velocity-based picking
Establish and track key performance indicators (e.g., order accuracy, inventory turns and accuracy, productivity (pick and putaway), FIFO, expense management, safety, and workforce management)
Identify and execute lean and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve throughput
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Service to align operations with business goals
Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse managers and their teams to foster engagement and accountability
Address staffing challenges through proactive workforce planning and employee development
Determine staffing requirements, conducts performance reviews, and monitors attendance to ensure functional requirements are met and attendance policy is followed
Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Build talent pipelines and prepare teams for future leadership roles
Serve as a key member of the logistics leadership team, contributing to strategic initiatives and leading process improvement efforts
Advise and assist procurement in negotiating contracts related to forklifts and maintenance, 3rd party warehousing, warehouse consumables, temp labor, etc
Develop and support annual budgeting as it relates to staffing, capital improvements (material handling equipment, racking, security cameras, building maintenance, etc.), technical improvements (software, scanning devices, etc.), 3rd party warehousing needs, and general costs
Configure and optimize ERP-based WMS platforms (AS400, SAP, D365) to support operational improvements
In-depth understanding of RF scanning and RFID capabilities with experience implementing, configuring, and integrating with ERP and WMS is major plus
Oversee and monitor forklift safety monitoring solutions (i.e Sapphire) to track driver and equipment safety concerns
Use MS Power BI and other tools to analyze trends, identify root causes, and drive performance improvements
Create reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement
Ensure seamless integration between WMS, ERP, TMS and other supply chain systems
Ensure adherence to OSHA and internal safety and quality standards
Identify and address operational risks, including safety incidents and compliance violations
Manage health, safety and quality control systems to track incidents, compliance, and issue resolution within the warehouse operations

Required

12+ years in warehouse, inventory, and distribution management, including multi-site leadership and team management
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
Proven success in improving team performance, retention, and operational outcomes
Strong initiative, decisiveness, and problem-solving skills
Ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP (AS400, SAP, and Microsoft D365) systems, RF scanning/RFID, and data maintenance
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and pivot tables
Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities, including Power BI or similar tools
Ability to travel 30-40% to regional sites
