The University of South Florida Libraries is seeking a full-time Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The role involves clinical practice, translational research, and academic teaching within a multidisciplinary team focusing on neuromodulation and restorative neurosurgery.

Responsibilities
Perform a full spectrum of stereotactic and functional neurosurgical procedures, including neuromodulation with deep brain stimulation (DBS) encompassing both awake and asleep image- and MER-verified procedures, spinal cord and cranial nerve stimulation, and lesioning with high intensity focused ultrasound, radiofrequency ablation, and open and percutaneous surgical lesioning procedures for pain
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, and rehabilitation specialists in a comprehensive neuromodulation program jointly managed by neurology and neurosurgery, and oversee and be supported by multiple nursing and ancillary medical personnel
Demonstrate a track record of research productivity and collaborate closely with a recently hired neurophysiologist and other academic departments at USF to develop clinical translational and/or basic research in functional neurosurgery, neuromodulation, or brain network mapping
Possess a passion for academic teaching and have experience mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualification
Required
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution
Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS)
Fellowship training in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida
