Responsibilities
Perform and/or oversee the design and analysis of gravity and lateral framing systems for building structures and foundations
Review engineering calculations for accuracy and thoroughness. Review contract documents for quality assurance
Provide direction and oversight to engineers, designers, and drafters as required during the production of construction documents. Assists with deliverable production as required
Oversee construction administration tasks including submittal reviews, RFI responses, jobsite observations, and reviews of change orders and pay applications. Assist with these CA tasks as required
Assist with proposal development by creating labor-hour estimates and project scopes, present proposals and project updates to internal stakeholders and clients
Provide technical advice regarding safe designs and constructability
Support Designer and Engineer responsibilities as needed
Attend industry events and promote the company brand
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 7-10 years' design / consulting experience
Minimum of 5 years' supporting building structures projects
P.E. license required
Software proficiencies should include MS Office Suite, MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design software
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
Attention to detail and organization
Ability to present before an audience of clients and stakeholders
Willingness to provide guidance and mentorship to more junior level professionals
Ability to take ownership and lead assignments
Ability to work both independently and as part of the team
Ability to support multiple projects at a time
Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required
Preferred
S.E. license preferred
Proven success working for A/E or EPCM consultancy companies in a similar role
Previous experience supporting industrial facilities projects is preferred
