Systems Administrator (Waterfront Field Support)
IPTA is a company focused on providing technical solutions to meet customer needs. They are seeking a Systems Administrator to support the Waterfront Field Support Team in managing IT resources, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities
Provide supplemental System Administration support to assist the Government-staffed Waterfront Field Support Team in managing IT hardware and software resources at NNSY and satellite locations
A subset of the contractor's technicians will work shifts to cover 24/7 Waterfront Field Support operations
Perform hands-on maintenance, installation, relocation, and removal of endpoint devices
Transport IT hardware to/from customer locations as required
Provide support for moves, adds, and changes
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with endpoint systems on secure/legacy networks (e.g., SYLAN/SECNET)
Provide software administration and technical support for both Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software
Support the implementation and configuration of operating systems on PCs, mobile clients (e.g., tablets), and Platform IT (PIT) systems
Perform complex software troubleshooting on client systems
Resolve issues involving Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) software used with lathes, saws, calibration and laboratory equipment, and other industrial tools
Install, configure, and maintain systems on wired, wireless, secure, and legacy networks
Ensure all systems remain patched and compliant with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy security standards
Deliver technical support at both NNSY and remote locations. Services include: System patching and firmware updates, Application and hardware configuration, Performance tuning, security hardening, and system backup
Test and validate all proposed procedures, patches, and firmware updates
Ensure compatibility with existing applications and compliance with DoD mandates
Prepare detailed installation and maintenance documentation to guide other technicians
Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) annually or as tasked to ensure accuracy and relevance
Implement and manage patch cycles
Maintain system security posture through compliance with the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program and applicable directives
Maintain a complete and up-to-date inventory of installed systems, devices, and applications
Track asset location and status for all deployed IT hardware and software
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or IAT Level II Certification
Five (5) years of experience in a similar role
Active Security clearance required
