Responsibilities
Perform schematic design and multi-layer PCB layout (up to 12+ layers, high-density interconnect, rigid-flex, RF, high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power) using Altium Designer (primary tool)
Own the full PCB lifecycle: component selection, design for manufacturability (DFM), design for test (DFT), thermal/power analysis, signal/power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, DO-160 as applicable)
Build, bring-up, and debug prototype and production hardware in the lab using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, thermal cameras, etc
Support transition to production: generate fabrication/assembly packages, conduct design reviews, resolve DFM issues with contract manufacturers, and support first-article inspection and conformal coating
Develop and maintain firmware/scripts in C/Python for microcontroller bring-up, automated PCB testing (bed-of-nails/ICT/FCT), manufacturing programming stations, and lab automation
Collaborate daily with systems, mechanical, FPGA, software, and manufacturing engineers in an Agile environment
Write and maintain design documentation, BOMs, test plans, and ECOs to AS9100/ISO-9001 standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline and 1+ years of relevant experience
