Responsibilities
Own day-to-day property management accounting across multiple buildings and entities
Manage month-end and year-end closes; ensure clean, accurate financials
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and building-level reporting
Serve as a client-facing accounting resource, responding to inquiries from apartment owners, boards, and tenants
Address accounting-related questions and issues promptly and professionally
Support audits and tax preparation with outside accountants
Partner with internal teams to deliver responsive, high-quality service
Continuously improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows
Qualification
Required
property management accounting experience
6+ years of accounting experience in property management or real estate
Experience managing multiple properties/entities
Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
Comfortable engaging directly with owners, tenants, and internal stakeholders
Familiarity with property management/accounting systems (Yardi, AppFolio, Propertyware, or similar)
