Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle accounting and reporting, including reconciliations, journal entries, consolidated statements, and preparation of board-ready financial packages
Manage annual audits, support tax filings (including Form 990), and ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, FASB standards, and internal control requirements
Oversee NAV reporting, capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting while ensuring compliance with fund governing documents
Review vendor invoices, coordinate payment processing, manage employee expenses, and maintain accurate cash activity and records
Enhance internal controls, streamline workflows, support budgets and forecasts, and drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
6+ years in audit or fund accounting, ideally from fund administration or public accounting with exposure to investment funds
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with accounting systems, nonprofit reporting tools, and fund accounting platforms
Understanding of nonprofit accounting standards, ASC 958, philanthropic fund structures, NAV reporting, and audit and tax compliance requirements
Analytical, detail-oriented, strong communicator with solid leadership and problem-solving skills who can manage multiple priorities and work well across teams
