Project Manager - Federal
gpac is a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in federal construction projects. The Project Manager will lead complex federal construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance while managing all aspects from preconstruction to closeout.
Responsibilities
Lead federal construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
Maintain control of schedule, budget, quality, and safety on large, complex builds
Direct and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution
Manage all project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and compliance reporting
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, government agencies, and key stakeholders
Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Travel to project sites or relocate for specific project assignments as needed
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing federal construction projects
Strong working knowledge of federal contracting requirements and compliance standards
Confident leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
