Start in 2026 SummerLangan Engineering & Environmental Services is a leading firm in land development engineering and environmental consulting. They are seeking an Innovation Intern or Co-op to research, document, and implement emerging technology and tools within their Information Technologies discipline, gaining practical experience on various IT projects.

Responsibilities
Conduct research on emerging technologies and tools and document findings and recommendations for potential implementation
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the company
Assist in various capacities with the development and implementation of new tools
Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors to ensure effective vetting and selection of new technology for the firm
Create Proofs of Concept (POCs) using apps like Glide, Lovable, SharePoint, Power Automate, or similar tools based on user feedback and ideas
Visit construction sites with staff to understand their needs and identify opportunities for automation and AI assistance; and
Perform other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Interest in the exploration and implementation of technology in engineering projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to provide an outstanding work product with strong attention to detail
Ability to proactively organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable
Preferred
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred
