IT Intern
Greenheck Group is a dynamic, multi-branded international commercial HVAC manufacturer looking for a highly motivated student to join their IT team as an intern. The role involves installing, maintaining, and supporting operating system software and network communication hardware while providing customer service and troubleshooting support.

Responsibilities
Install, maintain and support operating system software, including the determination of errors and the application of corrections, as necessary
Diagnose system hardware, software, and operator problems. Recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operations
Install, maintain and support network and data communication hardware and software
Provide second level of trouble-shooting in resolving problems
Work with helpdesk to provide proper levels of customer service based on customer needs
Performs related work as required
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in a related bachelor's degree program and on track to graduate in the next 2 years or less
Technical foundation: Working knowledge of Windows operating systems (installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting)
Hardware support: Experience diagnosing and resolving PC/laptop/peripheral issues (imaging, drivers, printers, basic break/fix)
Networking basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN/Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting
Support experience: 1–3 years in desktop support / helpdesk / field services (or similar) with demonstrated second-level troubleshooting
Tools/process: Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira/etc.), documentation, and escalation workflows
Customer service: Strong communication skills—able to explain technical issues clearly, set expectations, and follow through
Problem solving: Ability to troubleshoot methodically, identify root cause, and apply fixes with minimal supervision
