They are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Battery Installation Technician to install, remove, and maintain industrial battery systems at customer sites nationwide, ensuring the reliable operation of critical power systems.

Responsibilities
Safely install, remove, and replace industrial battery systems, cabinets, and related equipment, following manufacturer specs and company procedures
Assemble battery strings, route cabling, and torque connections to exact standards using proper tools and PPE
Perform battery testing—capacity tests, voltage readings, and thermal checks—to ensure systems meet performance standards
Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety protocols while working around high-voltage DC systems
Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and customers to complete installations on time and to the highest quality
Maintain accurate installation records, including serial numbers, torque logs, and test data
Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools to move heavy battery systems
Perform site cleanup and ensure the proper disposal or recycling of removed batteries
Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic electrical or battery-related issues during installation
Participate in ongoing training to keep up with evolving battery technologies and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays
Basic understanding of DC power systems and electrical safety
Preferred
Previous experience in UPS battery installation, telecom battery systems, or industrial electrical work preferred
OSHA 10/30 or NFPA 70E training preferred
Forklift certification a plus
