Biomedical Equipment Technician III
Goldbelt Frontier is committed to providing support for a range of health technology management operations. The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) uses engineering expertise to analyze and solve problems regarding biomedical equipment design, development, and safety testing, while also providing leadership to other BMETs.

Responsibilities
Ensure biomedical equipment complies with federal, state, and regulatory standards; implement quality control measures, manage budgets, and vendor relationships
Install, repair, calibrate, maintain, and inspect complex medical equipment and systems; perform and review preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing
Assign and oversee routine maintenance tasks to subordinates; manage third-party repairs and monitor vendor activities
Perform complex inspections on military medical equipment and evaluate new or reconditioned systems
Maintain documentation on inspections, repairs, and equipment failures; recommend improvements and testing procedures
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and applicable regulations; assist in developing related policies
Determine equipment support needs including maintenance, supply, provisioning, and training
Support special operations and projects related to fielding, sustainment, and regulatory compliance
Develop and evaluate maintenance support plans, sustainment strategies, and performance specifications
Provide technical expertise and recommendations for improving maintenance effectiveness and policy interpretation
Investigate equipment sources for lab testing and prepare required support documentation and purchase requests
Maintain records, reports, and correspondence; may provide leadership or supervisory support to BMETs
Respond to technical inquiries; monitor data during evaluations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Has comprehensive knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and types of equipment
Experience as a lead, scheduling work, and/or overseeing and mentoring technical work of others
Experience performing biomedical equipment maintenance, repair, and maintenance cycles on Military Medical Equipment
Experience performing complex technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned Army medical equipment
Experience with medical equipment overhaul
Proven technical writing skills
A.A.S in Medical Equipment Technology or more advanced degree in related field or AAMI Certification (CBET), and/or graduate of DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course
Ability to obtain and maintain a CACard
Six or more years directly related experience
Travel as needed (approx. 15%)
