Compliance Associate
The University of Miami is a leading academic medical center providing patient care and medical education. They are seeking a Compliance Associate to assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs, conduct reviews and assessments, and ensure adherence to regulations and organizational policies.

Responsibilities
Ensures compliance record keeping and database systems remain accurate and up to date
Reviews and audits records to ensure compliance with the organization's procedures, policies, and standards
Recommends and participates in decisions/actions involving organization policies and procedures and identifies gaps and areas for improvement
Provides guidance and support with federal regulations and any new requirements as needed
Assists in maintaining an effective compliance education and training program
Ensures operating manuals and procedural documents stay current when regulations change
Responds to inquiries from regulatory agencies and completes required compliance documentation
Generates, organizes, and submits compliance documentation and audit finding reports
Analyzes audit outcomes, conducts assessments and analyzes potential risks, develops risk management strategies, and proactively identifies relevant trends
Provides timely and concise audit feedback to senior managing staff
Maintains current knowledge of changes in national and local regulations affecting the specific program/area
May conduct investigations and resolves routine compliance issues
Promotes compliance, best practices, and solutions while representing the University ethically and professionally
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
CHC, CHRC, or CHPC required within the first year of employment
Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications
Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders
