Responsibilities
Drive the growth of new clients primarily within the commercial sector, emphasizing the advantages of GCP
Partner with your client(s) to help influence strategic business + technical direction and identify ways Nerdery can come in to help them achieve their business objectives. Lead with empathy and genuine curiosity - Focused on the outcome not the technology
Oversee the entire business development lifecycle, from lead qualification to contract finalization
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals that showcase the benefits often with GCP sellers, to prospective clients
Maintain effective communication with potential clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and orchestrating the appropriate response team accordingly. This position will quarterback the pursuit process and bring in SMEs when needed
Research, nurture, and qualify prospective clients aligned with the organization's ideal client profile
Build and manage a net-new opportunity pipeline, with a strong emphasis on positioning GCP as the preferred cloud solution
Cultivate professional and informal networks that not only enhance the organization's visibility but also lead to potential opportunities
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the client's strategic vision, agenda and the challenges they face, positioning Nerdery consulting and GCP tools as part of a strategic solution
Lead pitches and expertly prepare and deliver sales proposals to prospective clients
Manage the contract negotiation process, ensuring all required documentation is in place for new clients interested in leveraging GCP
Efficiently manage the contract vehicle process
Develop close working relationships with Google counterparts to allow for cohesive co-selling motion
Demonstrate a track record of successfully working with and managing cross-functional partners in complex implementation projects and negotiations, fostering a collaborative approach that enhances the overall effectiveness of business development initiatives
Leverage extensive experience in promoting cloud computing technologies, with a specific emphasis on GCP, to SMB and MME organizations across diverse geographies
Understand competitors’ offerings and strategize to position data and analytic solutions for commercial sector clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
8+ years' business development experience preferably within a consultancy or professional services firm
Must be a passionate hunter and skilled at penetrating new accounts
Experience with GCP with deep relationships within Google that have SMB and MME connections
Must be results driven with an owner mentality
Experience working with senior level decision makers
Proven ability to drive the complex sales process from strategy to close
Exhibit an understanding of the client's space, coupled with the ability to build excellent relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners
Polished presentation, communication, and listening skills
Possess a strong understanding of data and networking technologies, showcasing a nuanced perspective on the global cloud computing market and key drivers for growth in the commercial sector
Ability to quickly learn and present value propositions to prospective clients
Successful track record of building a new business pipeline with accurate forecasting
A proven track record of working closely with partners and co-selling
Experience positioning Professional Services, SaaS, PaaS, and/or Cloud Solutions, and other strategic consulting services
