Responsibilities

Receive orders and validate part quantities and completeness of instructions

Perform dimensional inspection

Perform Visual Testing (VT), Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (FPI) / Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI)

Perform Eddy current testing (ET)

Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) / Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)

Radiographic Testing (RT) / X-Ray

Set up and calibrate NDT equipment

Perform preventive maintenance on NDT equipment

Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection

Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations

Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results

Organize, record, report, and file NDT test results

Perform other job tasks as assigned by supervision

Maintain an accurate log of applied hours by NDT discipline to support advancement in certification levels and/or methods

Pass certification tests in applicable NDT methods to advance skills and position level

Operate cranes and vehicles
