Clinical Data Analyst Lead

Responsibilities
Analyze clinical, claims, and operational data to identify trends, variation in care, and opportunities to improve outcomes
Support population health strategies by identifying care gaps, high-risk populations, and opportunities for targeted interventions
Conduct deep-dive analyses related to quality performance, utilization patterns, readmissions, and chronic disease management
Partner with clinical leaders to interpret findings and recommend data-driven actions
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards that track clinical quality, outcomes, and operational performance
Ensure reporting aligns with organizational priorities, quality programs (e.g., HEDIS/STARS), and value-based performance goals
Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights tailored to clinical and operational audiences
Continuously improve reporting tools to enhance usability, accuracy, and timeliness
Collaborate with providers, care teams, and quality partners to identify drivers of performance and close gaps in care
Support monitoring of intervention effectiveness and performance improvement initiatives
Provide analytical support for pilot programs, care model enhancements, and clinical transformation efforts
Help standardize definitions, metrics, and methodologies across markets and programs
Serve as a trusted analytics partner to providers, Medical Directors, Quality, Operations, and Leadership teams
Work closely with data engineering and IT partners to ensure data integrity, availability, and scalability
Participate in enterprise and market-level workgroups to support clinical and population health initiatives
Communicate findings clearly through presentations, written summaries, and executive-ready materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master's preferred)
5+ years of experience in clinical, healthcare, or population health analytics
Strong experience working with clinical and claims data in a healthcare setting
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights for clinical and operational audiences
Preferred
Experience in value-based care, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid populations
Familiarity with quality programs such as HEDIS, STARS, and CMS measures
Experience supporting care management, utilization management, or population health initiatives
Exposure to predictive modeling or advanced statistical techniques
