The Software Engineer will lead the development and maintenance of software applications for the 'Shelf' platform, which supports warehouse operations and inventory management.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain foundational components of our "Shelf" platform, an internal system that manages all aspects of warehouse inventory and fulfillment
Work with a team of front end and back end engineers and operational leaders to understand and build solutions for new projects
Dedicate time to "hardening" the software, proactively fixing root causes of recurring issues during your on-call rotation
Tackle a wide range of backend challenges to maintain and improve the system's scalability and stability
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience is preferable, though we are interested in top-tier new grads as well
Strong proficiency in a modern backend language like Ruby, Node.js, Java, Python, or Go
SQL expertise is a must, with experience in databases like PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus but not required
Experience working in AWS is a plus
A go-getter attitude with a passion for learning and taking on new challenges
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
