Technical Lead – Electromechanical Systems

Vindum Engineering Inc. is hiring a Technical Lead – Electromechanical Systems to support their high-pressure laboratory pumps and valves. This senior role involves deep product understanding, firmware and system-level troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of safety-critical products.

Responsibilities

Develop deep technical understanding of Vindum’s high-pressure pumps, valves, control electronics, firmware, and test systems
Support system-level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and operator interactions
Maintain and debug embedded firmware written in C
Validate firmware behavior on real hardware
Support Windows-based control software through testing and debugging
Work directly with assembly and test personnel to resolve production issues
Identify and lead incremental product improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience in electromechanical or embedded systems roles
Strong embedded C experience with real hardware debugging
Hands-on comfort with test equipment and production systems

Preferred

Experience with laboratory instrumentation, pumps, valves, or pressure equipment
Familiarity with serial communications (RS-232/485), Modbus, or similar protocols
Experience improving product robustness and diagnostics
