Responsibilities
Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, law and motion, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
Handle employment-related litigation and advisory matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims
Represent public and private entity clients in employment and labor matters
Conduct or oversee workplace investigations and prepare findings and recommendations
Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, and compliance materials
Prepare and argue writs of mandate and administrative appeals
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys as needed
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school
Active California Bar membership
7+ years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on employment law
Solid knowledge of California and federal employment and labor laws
Excellent writing, advocacy, and client-management skills
Preferred
Experience working with public entities is a plus, but not required
Trial, writ, and appellate experience preferred
