Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee staffing, financials, and the work of selected shops and trades within their facilities. This role involves ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment while managing mechanical, electrical, and structural systems, as well as supervising a team of maintenance employees.

Responsibilities

Oversee staffing, financials, and work of selected shops/trades

Assist the Assistant Director of Engineering in providing an attractive, clean, safe, and secure facility. Also handling mechanical, electrical, structural, and other technical systems within the property area and other outside facilities

Assign jobs and tasks to employees for completion

Track job progress by maintaining detailed records and monitoring work progress

Provide weekly job status for ongoing projects

Prioritize jobs based on business demands

Maintain payroll cost control by efficiently planning staffing and scheduling employees based on business demands

Maintain budget for respective trade area

Interact with other department managers regarding work requests and maintenance needs

Oversee employee work product

Motivate employees by creating and maintaining a positive work environment

Enforce company and department policies and procedures

Attend meetings regarding upcoming or current projects

Drive company vehicles to various properties and locations throughout town to attend/conduct meetings and/or meet with business associates

Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

Required

At least five years' experience performing supervisory functions, overseeing 15+ facilities maintenance employees on multiple shifts at a 5-Diamond resort required

A minimum of five years' multi-trade background

Ability to oversee work in a variety of areas in the hotel / casino

General knowledge of hotel/casino property a must

Knowledge of blueprints, construction management, basic computer skills (MS Word & Excel, Project) and basic A/V and electronic systems a must

The ability to lead and control work output of staff assigned to construction projects to include payroll administration, work assignments, time and attendance recordkeeping, and quality assurance necessary

Possess the ability to track project progress and efficiently solve problems required

Ability to oversee construction projects and related meetings necessary

Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Nevada Driver's License

Complete understanding of management policies essential

Ability to communicate with employees and Department Heads a must
